Plurakey LLC ("Plurakey," "we," "us," or "our") operates the website plurakey.com and the Plurakey hardware configurator service. This Privacy Policy describes what information we collect, how we use it, and your choices.

1. Information We Collect

Account information

When you create a community account, we collect your email address, display name, and a securely hashed password. We never store your password in plain text.

Community profiles

If you share a keybind profile on the Community page, we store the profile name, description, app tags, and the keybind mapping data you submit. Profiles are public by default.

Device configurator

The configurator runs entirely in your browser. Keybind mappings are communicated directly to your connected device via USB and are not transmitted to our servers unless you explicitly share a profile to the Community page.

Usage data

We may collect standard server logs including IP addresses, browser type, pages visited, and timestamps. This data is used for security monitoring and aggregate analytics only.

Cookies and sessions

We use session cookies to keep you signed in. No third-party advertising or tracking cookies are used.

2. How We Use Your Information

To operate and improve the Plurakey service
To authenticate your account and protect it from unauthorized access
To send transactional emails such as email verification and password resets
To display your shared profiles in the Community section
To monitor for abuse, spam, and security threats

3. Data Sharing

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information. We share data only in the following limited circumstances:

Service providers: We use Resend to deliver transactional emails on our behalf. They receive your email address solely for that purpose.
Legal requirements: We may disclose information if required by law or to protect the rights and safety of Plurakey or its users.

4. Data Storage and Security

Account and community data is stored in a secured SQLite database on our servers. We use industry-standard measures including encrypted connections (HTTPS), hashed passwords, and signed session tokens. No system is perfectly secure, but we take reasonable precautions to protect your data.

5. Data Retention

We retain account data as long as your account is active. You may request deletion of your account and associated data at any time by emailing [email protected]. Community profiles you have posted will be removed upon request.

6. Your Rights

Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, or delete your personal data. To exercise these rights, contact us at [email protected]. We will respond within 30 days.

7. Children's Privacy

Plurakey is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe we have collected such information, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be communicated via the email address associated with your account or by a notice on this page. Your continued use of the service after changes constitutes acceptance.
